Physical Therapy

The team of Physical Therapists (PTs) at Doctor's Hospital focuses on returning an individual to a more normal lifestyle after an injury, illness, or disability. Our PTs will design a treatment program that promotes independence by using state of the art techniques and equipment.

Conditions commonly treated by PTs:

  • Low back and neck pain/strains
  • Following surgeries (such as neck, low back, knee, shoulder etc.
  • Joint pain and limitation (such as knee, ankle/foot, shoulder, hip)
  • Join replacement (knee, hip, shoulder for example)
  • Tendonitis/Bursitis
  • CVA/Stroke
  • Following an amputation
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Neurological Conditions (such as Parkinson's Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, etc.)
  • Deconditioning due to an extended illness
  • Lymphedema

Occupational Therapy

The Occupational Therapy (OT) Team at Doctor's Hospital will evaluate and design a treatment program based on an individual's daily functional ability. OT's will educate patients on the use of adaptive techniques and equipment that will increase safety and function in daily activities.

  • Head Injury
  • Neurological Conditions (such as Parkinson's Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Huntingon's Chorea, etc.)
  • Joint Replacements (such as hip, knee, shoulder, etc)
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
  • Traumatic Hand Injuries
  • Tendonitis of the Arm/Hand
  • Custom Molded Hand Splints
  • Following an amputation

Speech Therapy

At Doctor's Hospital the Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) work with the individual and their family to provide a treatment program designed specifically for each patient. SLPs work with individuals who are having difficulty with speech and wallowing disorders caused by physical illnesses and injuries.
